Oh, to be in England....

Because today is the day the new BBC Robin Hood premieres there. Here's a new picture of Richard Armitage as Sir Guy of Gisborne (ignore the apparent use of ye olde pleather for the costume). Need I say more?
(This comes courtesy of the Official Richard Armitage website here. More pictures, news, etc. abounds!)

However, this is also the day Battlestar Galactica begins again in my neck of the woods, and that's no small compensation. Hooray!

Not gone down well with BBC punters. The Points of View message board is full of critical letters.8 million people watched it though, but next week will show how well it's
going to do.I liked it.Jonas Armstrong is good as Robin. Not sure about Guy.I think he should be nastier.

Since I'm in the dark here, I'll just say that I wouldn't want Sir Guy to be so very nasty he would go beyond "redeemable" bounds. And I think the people who don't like something are always first out of the gate with their comments, and more vocal generally. I have heard of at least one person who loved it. I shall just have to wait longer, and with bated breath...

But in the meantime, what have they done to the cute Jamie Bamber in Battlestar? What's with the flubber? Picture me screaming, "WHAAAA??" when he appeared, and even though I'd been forewarned. Please, don't mess with the pretty! :-(

MM...

Don't lose heart! There are plenty of viewers who really loved it. The first ep is always the one where they intro everybody and give a glimmering of their individual backstories.

Check out this wonderful website:

http://robinhood2006.proboards99.com/index.cgi

lots of people loved the series and especially GofG.

Also, this is the official "Armitage Army" website...

http://www.thearmitagearmy.co.uk/

It's just crammed full of wonderful screen caps, clips, puzzles, news, etc about the god now known worldwide as RA.

Here's another "AA" site where interactivity is the key...via message boards...

http://www.richardarmitage.proboards61.com/index.cgi

And of course, there's always the beloved C19 boards where there are literally thousands of screen caps, interesting threads about every nose hair RA has ever shed plus much more about the whole gamet of 18th century and "North & South" related topics...

http://c19.proboards53.com/index.cgi?

Lots and lots of very bright and mostly mature women who have found the same qualities about RA to be fascinating as have you...and I.

Enjoy!

RA Rulez!
