Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

In honor of the day, I'm making Irish Soda Bread - not an "official" recipe, which is pretty plain, but one with a few additions, although not raisins. I don't like raisins in my bread.

In other news, I've realized the time line of the story I'm working on is...messed up. I've been pretty much writing as if everything is happening over a couple of days, which isn't going to work. Ah well, that's what revisions are for!

Unfortunately, the cats continue to be mortal enemies. I thought we were making progress but no. This is pretty frustrating, but we'll keep trying to reintroduce them to each other gradually. However, a miracle did happen - Luis actually got into his carrier on his own. Normally, that's a battle, too.

Hi. In honor of St. Patrick's Day, I am NOT making corned beef and caggage. I must have missed that gene (guess I got the French one), thank goodness. All I'm doing is wearing one of my North Texas Irish Festival t-shirts.

As for the book, better to find out now it's not going to work rather than after you've sent it off. Then you have to do all the revisions with one eye on the clock, which would be even more stressful.

My cats are better, but we still have the peeing on the counter issue. I thought they had quit, but we've had more in just the last few days. They are driving me bonkers.

As for the carrier, does it have just the front door, or do you have one of the nice ones where the top also opens? If you don't have one, they are made by Petmate/Doscocil, and sold under the name of Pet Porter Deluxe Jr. Two Door, or VariKennel Deluxe Jr. Two Door. I have several, and they are terrific for cats who don't like to go through that little door on the front. The top is wire, and the whole thing opens right up. You can get them at the pet supply store, or several different mail order sources.

Also, try feeding him in the carrier. Four of my eight eat in seperate carriers, which are left out all the time. They will even hop in them to take a nap, or use them as a place to play.

Good luck with everything.
