Excerpt posted!

I've just posted an excerpt from my next book, HIGHLAND ROGUE, LONDON MISS on my website here.

This is one of those writerly tasks that sounds simple to do - just post an excerpt. You can cut and paste the text, right? Well, in theory, but...

I have to add all the html code for paragraphs. Then I have to put the link to that page on several other pages on my site, like the home page, the what's new page, the book's main page, the excerpts page, the page listing all my Harlequin Historicals®, the page for my Regency-set books, my quick list of all my books by publisher and series, and the one-age list of my books. That's a lot of revising.

Then I upload the pages and check that all the links work. Usually there are one or two that don't, and I have to figure out where the typo is.

So now you know how I spent my morning. In this case, though, it didn't help that I kept typing Highland Rouge...

Highland Rouge? Sonds like an intersting new makeup item. Or maybe a Scottish/French crayon color.

I shall have to go read the excerpt now.

Well, I read the excerpt, and I love it. Sounds like they get along famously.I'm looking forward to reading the whole book.

I even managed a few minutes of dog training in between the reading and commenting. Ilka and I had our first class Thursday night, and we are supposed to practice every day. I have discovered that I need more than just two hands. Juggling the leash, the clicker, and the treats is tricky.

The fact that my allergies and asthma decided to flair up badly over the weekend hasn't helped. I ran out of asthma medication, and could hardly breathe. I feel better today, but am still wheezing. Hopefully, my prescriptions will be here soon.

LOL

I just read a review where the reviewer called the hero a rouge werewolf. She used that word more than once.

Yep, werewolves now come in red. Ladies, there are werewolves to fit every color scheme.

This book sounds delicious. Love the tension between them. Yum
