I've been reading WANTED IN ALASKA by Kate Bridges and here are two things that tell me I'm reading a really good book.
1. I'm surprised - in a good way. Things happen that I haven't foreseen. When you've been in the romance business a long time, that isn't that common.
2. It makes me want to go to Alaska. I may be Canadian, but I don't like the cold, so Alaska has never been on my list of places to go. But the way Kate writes about the place, with vivid, fascinating descriptions, I sure wouldn't react with a "oh, heck, no!" if I had the opportunity to go, as I would have before.
There are other good points about WANTED IN ALASKA, but I suggest you find out for yourself. :-)

Margaret, thank you so much for your comments. I'm thrilled I could surprise you a few times, especially your being one of my favorite authors! :-)
Alaska is really gorgeous. It's hot and sunny during the summer months. I think lots of people think it's cold all year round, but it's not. And the wildlife and the pure clean air are really something to behold!
Also--I enjoyed your photos of the bluffs. Those are some pretty walks you go on. Your physical activity is very inspiring!
I calls 'em as I sees 'em. :-)
There's some great foreshadowing, too, that really adds to the tension.
I've always wanted to go to Alaska.
Especially an Alaskan cruies.
And I love Kate's books. She writes about the West where I haven't been. :) Well, other than San Francisco, but I bypassed all the other places I wanted to see by flying.
Wanted in Alaska is on my TBR pile, I seem to have all those Margaret Moore books to read. LOL. A couple of which are already back in my hospital bag. :)
Sounds like a wonderful book, Kate and Margaret. It's one I'd like to read too. And I think Alaska is pristine beautiful, a good place for a story.
Hi Amy! Hi Kaye! I'd love to go on an Alaskan cruise, too. The scenery must be gorgeous up and down the coast. I think you'd need binoculars for all the wildlife you'd spot. Thanks for your comments and have a great weekend everyone.
